본 패턴은 음복 문화의 음식 형태와 상징을 패턴 모티프로 추출하여 식탁보 패턴으로 재해석한 작업입니다. 제사 음식의 주술적 의미와 공동체적 연대를 패턴으로 시각화함으로써,식탁이라는 일상적 표면을 기억과 관계의 장으로 확장하는 시도라 할 수 있습니다.
The acts that take place at the dining table go beyond mere meals, serving as ritual moments that connect humans, objects, and spirits. In Korean eumbok culture, the food offered in ancestral rites is shared by the community, reinforcing divine blessings and social bonds. This practice is an important tradition in which memories and emotions are accumulated across generations.
This pattern work extracts motifs from the forms and symbols of eumbok food and reinterprets them as a tablecloth pattern. By visualizing the ritual significance of ancestral offerings and the communal bonds they represent, the project seeks to transform the everyday surface of the dining table into a space of memory and relational connection.
