자궁 패턴 연구는 신체, 특히 여성의 자궁의 구조를 생명의 근원적 상징으로 바라보고, 이를 기호적 패턴 언어로 번역하는 연구 기반 작업입니다. 해부학적 형태를 유기적 선으로 단순화 한 상단의 이미지와, 작은 모듈 패턴의 색 변화는 자궁이 지닌 리듬·맥동·온기와같은 신체적 감각을 시각화합니다.
하단에 배치된 패턴 스와치와 드로잉은 자궁의 이미지를 해체해 모티프화하고, 다시 패턴으 로 재구성하는 과정을 드러냅니다. 이를 통해 여성의 몸이 지닌 구조적·상징적 서사가 반복적 시각 체계로 전환되는 과정을 탐구하며, 신체를 기호로 재해석하는 조형적 연구의 흐름을 보 여주고자 합니다.
The Uterus Pattern Study is a research-based project that views the body—particularly the structure of the female uterus—as a fundamental symbol of life and translates it into a symbolic pattern language. The simplified organic lines in the upper image, along with subtle color variations in the small modular patterns, visualize the physical sensations inherent to the uterus, such as rhythm, pulsation, and warmth.
The pattern swatches and drawings placed below deconstruct the image of the uterus into motifs and then reconstruct them as patterns. Through this process, the work explores how the structural and symbolic narratives of the female body can be transformed into a repetitive visual system, illustrating a formal investigation into reinterpreting the body as a system of signs.
