Decorative Noi는 패턴과 장식을 기반으로 내러티브를 담은 패턴을 연구하고, 이를 다양한 제품과 설치, 워크숍 프로젝트로 확장하고 있다. 이들은 미술과 디자인의 경계를 허물며, 작품과 기능적 오브제를 자유롭게 넘나드는 작업을 이어가고 있다.
윤현상재 레지던시 프로그램에서는 다양한 매체와 패턴을 통해 새로운 가능성을 탐색하며, 서로의 아이디어를 협력해 작품을 만들어간다. 조수연은 패턴 연구와 개발에 중점을 두고, 맨디리는 이를 제품과 설치 작업으로 확장하여 타일, 텍스타일, 전시 등 다양한 형태로 표현한다.
레지던시에서는 다양한 타일 자재를 활용해 새로운 패턴을 개발하고, 이를 타일과 결합하는 작업을 시도하고 있다. 또한 내러티브가 담긴 패턴 개발, 미술심리치료 워크숍 프로그램 진행, 패턴 아카이브 제작, 패턴 타일 시리즈 협업 등을 계획하고 있다.
Decorative Noi research patterns that incorporate narratives based on decoration, expanding their work into various products, installations, and workshop projects. They continue to blur the boundaries between art and design, freely navigating between artworks and functional objects.
In the Younhyun residency program, they explore new possibilities through various media and patterns, collaborating to create artworks based on each other's ideas. Suyeon focuses on pattern research and development, while Mandy extends this into product and installation work, expressing it in various forms such as tiles, textiles, and exhibitions.
During the residency, they are developing new patterns using various tile materials and attempting to combine these with tiles. They also plan to develop narrative-driven patterns, conduct art therapy workshop programs, create a pattern archive, and collaborate on a pattern tile series.
