Gift 프로젝트는 도판에 일상의 이야기를 담아 제작한 타일 시리즈이다.
다이어리 속 달력의 격자 구조에서 영감을 받아, 하루 스케줄을 기록하듯이 타일 하나하나에 새로운 하루를 담았다.
Gift 타일은 소중한 사람에게 선물하는 마음으로, 타일 제작부터 포장에 이르기까지 모든 과정에 중점을 두어 작업했다.
각 타일은 비정형적인 형태와 패턴으로 고유한 아름다움을 지니고 있으며, 패브릭 파우치는 한복 원단인 옥사에 밀랍을 녹여 스며들게 하는 과정을 거쳐 제작되었다.
Gift 프로젝트는 타일 장식문화의 아름다움을 noi 만의 시각 언어로 재해석하여, 사람들의 삶에 자연스럽게 스며드는 작품을 선보이고자 한다.
The Gift project is a series of tiles that capture daily life on ceramic plates.
Inspired by the grid layout of calendars, each tile represents a new day, like writing a daily schedule.
The Gift tiles are thoughtfully created with the intention of giving them as gifts to someone special, considering every step from production to packaging.
Each tile has a unique beauty with its informal forms and patterns, and the fabric pouches used for packaging are crafted by melting wax into traditional Korean silk used for Hanbok.
The Gift project aims to reinterpret the beauty of tile decoration culture through Noi’s distinctive perspective, presenting works that naturally seep into our lives.
